I spent over a year at Airbnb helping them develop the strategy and execution for the relaunch of Airbnb Experiences. This project was my first jump to fully working on the product side of a business. We spent the first half of the year deep in strategy helping the company discover the DNA of over 100 cities across the globe. Working with a small nimble team we researched and interviewed locals who champion the places they live and unearthed the true nature of what makes each city its own.

After deep strategic research we presented the company with a plan to roll out highly ownable experiences that you could truly only find on Airbnb.

To elevate our locals and the Airbnb Experiences brand we tapped into a highly curated list of tastemakers around the globe who hold the power to spread the new message of what makes an Airbnb Experience truly unique. Leaning into pop culture icons and influencers we worked hand in hand creating once in a lifetime experiences that put our audience right next to the very people they idolize. What came next were experience driven champions of our brand who started at a BBQ with Jimmy Kimmel and continued on with locals who they’ve never heard of in cities they were visiting for the first time.
